“We were looking for a small week trip to escape the city life in Helsinki and to recharge a bit. The cottage we rent from Ukonhonka exceeded our expectations and we were able to disconnect digital devices and learn new life skills such as chopping wood.
The wonderful location by the lake offered so incredible views (both in the morning and evening!) and we took the opportunity every day to walk in the forest at the cottage.
The sauna was a fantastic addition and there was a modern BBQ outside. We appreciated the warm welcome of the owner. Next time, we will definitely stay longer!”

“We spent two incredible weeks at the Etelä-Kalaton cottage and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
The environment around the cottage and the private forest lake was truly magical, and the cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed. Being able to swim directly in the lake after going to the lakeside sauna was a wonderful experience that we will never forget.
We also enjoyed our daily walks in the surrounding forests, and the kids loved the blueberry-picking sessions in the forest. Big thank you to Ukonhonka for our pleasant stay!”
